Have you ever wondered why you think the way you think about life or parenting, or react the way you react to certain situations (say, your child's behavior, for example)? Often times, we can feel shame over our reactions, or emotions as caregivers. But what if we could find clear answers to our functionality? Enter the Enneagram!

Have you heard of the Enneagram?

We’re beyond fascinated by this. And if you attended The Insight Virtual Conference a couple of weeks ago, you heard Lisa and Melissa present on this very topic. We are honored to be able to share this special episode of the podcast all about the Enneagram.

You may know that the Enneagram is a system of personality typing that describes patterns in how people interpret the world and manage their emotions. But did you know that the Enneagram can greatly benefit us as caregivers, because it gives us unique insight into our personality types and how we interact with the world around us. You will LOVE this episode!

More about Lisa and Melissa….

Lisa Qualls and Melissa Corkum founded The Adoption Connection which provides hope for adoptive parents. They co-host the Adoption Connection podcast and provide Enneagram coaching & support for blocked care. Interestingly, between the two of them, they represent all three parts of the adoption triad. Lisa is a birth mom and former foster youth. She and her husband, Russ, have twelve kids by birth and adoption. They’ve also been foster parents. She’s the author of The Connected Parent, which she co-wrote with the late Dr. Karyn Purvis. Using her training as a TBRI practitioner, she mentors adoptive moms in her Hope Circle, where they recognize the hard and celebrate the beauty of adoption. Melissa is an adoptee and adoptive mom. She and her husband, Patrick, have six kids by birth and adoption and a really cute granddaughter. As a Safe and Sound Practitioner and creator of the REAL Life Behavior Plan System, she helps adoptive parents find brain-based solutions to challenging behaviors so they can laugh more and yell less.

How to connect with Lisa and Melissa…

Thanks for stopping by this week!
