As I was scurrying through the airport in San Diego, California yesterday, on my way to the conference I was speaking at this week, something caught my eye on Facebook and made my heart melt. In a moment I was humbled and grateful for the family God has blessed me with!
As a parent you are the greatest voice of influence in your child’s life. But your voice is not the only one they will listen to. There’s a season when you will be lower on the list, behind friends and culture. How you respond when this happens is critical to your relationship with your child.
Marriage is hard. Anyone who has been married for any amount of time will testify to this. When you mix two individuals, from two different backgrounds, two different households, who have, at times, two very different perspectives, you’ll face conflict to some degree.
A failed adoption hurts as much as a miscarriage. It’s painful, embarrassing, frustrating and defeating! When an adoption falls through and all of the plans you made diminish like dust in the wind, where do you go? What do you do? How will you ever find hope in the midst of tragedy?
