If I’m honest with myself (and I usually am), life is hard. Parenting is hard! Being a human is hard. And being part of a family is hard. We gave up the pursuit of perfection a long time ago. Truth is, sometimes dark days outnumber the light ones. It’s the reality of life, and it happened just the other day.

Some people are born simple, some have simplicity thrust upon them. We fit into the latter category.
Being a parent is no easy task. That’s not exactly rocket science, I know! Between academics, personal character, honest living, raising them to be productive, and teaching social cues, where do we even begin? The pressure can be overwhelming at times. However, I believe it all boils down to 3 important values.
I picked my son up from school the other day and he asked me a rather awkward question- “Dad, do you think my teacher is pretty?” While some men might think very little of the impact of their answer to a question like this, I pay close attention to mine. As far as I’m concerned, these moments are opportunities to teach my son!
