Parents, lets be honest: sometimes, it’s just fun to do things that drive your child, especially if they’re a pre-teen, up the wall. In a good way, of course (We don’t want to see any kid in long-term therapy! :-)).
I’ll admit it: as a family living deep in suburbia, we tend to forget our blessings and complain at times. Even my wife and I will lose our focus and start to complain over meaningless or trivial things. We try to model humility and gratefulness for our children but, who are we kidding, we blow it all the time.
Back in April of this year, my wife and I took our 2 pre-teen daughters to Taylor Swift’s Red Tour in downtown Indianapolis. While we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this great concert, I took the time to study the environment. I learned a whole lot about pre-teens from our 4 hour experience!
We are raising a child with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).

After 14 years of being married to the same woman, I’m learning.
I was running late. I had to drop my son off at school (on time) and make it to a meeting (on time). The clock was moving quickly but I was not. Typical for me. As much as I hated to admit it, it was true!
“Oh my goodness, how do you guys do it?”
